Until you’ve lost images or had any glitch when you copy a memory card, you don’t know the sheer amount of panic that you can get when you run into errors.

I’ve had problems with copying memory cards before, and the RescuePro software (which Sandisk just stamps their name on) has helped me out before.

    A few things:
    1) A copy of this software comes with the Sandisk Extreme III series of cards for both Mac and Windows, which is nice.
    2) The software works on non-Sandisk cards too. This saved me when I had a Kingston card go south on me during an important moment.

In short, I’m sold on this software. It’s helped me out of jams, and I appreciate it. It’s worth the investment if you’re just buying the disc alone, or if you’re buying an Extreme III card as well. And if you’re spending thousands on camera equipment, you owe it to yourself to give yourself a tool to bail yourself out of jams.

Simple and Effective at a good price, March 17, 2011

The disc did what it was supposed to do. Was able to recover a great portion of pictures that I had accidently erased. As the instructions state, you should save the recovered info to another device (i.e. thumbdrive, computer or laptop, etc.). Would recommend this to anyone.

Find Data “trashed” on your computer, January 11, 2012

This review is from: Sandisk RescuePro Recovery Software, V3.3 Disk

I had “trashed” some items (photos) on a flash drive only later to decide that I really wanted them and would like to recover them. There was no path left active on the computer to get to those items, but I knew that they were still there. I was looking for some software that would let me get to those pictures. I was told about some software by Sandisk that would let me do this. It was a program called Sandisk RescuePro Recovery Software, V3.3. I googled this item and found it in Amazon in an overstock warehouse.
I ordered the disk, costing only $2.00, and received it in 2 days, shipped for free. I put the disk in my computer and booted it up. It worked very simply and found the items that I had previously trashed on this particular flash drive and enabled me to recover them easily. I can give unconditional approval of this product to recover data that has been trashed. I discovered that it worked well on my digital camera as well, showing me the numerous pictures that were still on my camera, evan though I had moved them all to my computer and the camera said “none” were there.
One important fact, be sure not to use that flash drive again before completing your recovery. As long as it is not used, the data remains there even if your computer cannot see it. But if you use the flash drive and write over the previous data, you cannot recapture it as it will then be gone.
